October Beauty Favorites 2016

It’s time for my October beauty favorites already. I’ve tried a lot of new products this month and really love them. There was one product that I tried and have gone back and forth with to decide if I would be taking it back or not. Check out the video to see if you agree with my opinion.

Halloween is tomorrow and we are excited about trick or treating! My girls and I have already done so many Halloween activities where they have dressed up in their costumes that we will probably do a little trick or treating tomorrow and then sit on our front porch handing out candy. I hope everyone has fun!

Beauty Blender and Makeup Brush Cleaning Hack

I know I know we all just love cleaning our brushes and beauty blenders right? Wrong! It’s such an important step we need to take when caring for our skin. Our brushes and beauty sponges harbor so much bacteria that we will be putting on our faces if they aren’t clean.

I tried the beauty blender solid cleanser and it worked really well to clean my beauty blender and my brushes. I was about to repurchase it and thought there must be a cheaper alternative! I have tested out some things and I feel that using a simple bar of soap works perfectly!

I started with a picture of my dirty beauty blenders (yuck). I take the bar of Dove soap and use it exactly as you would with a beauty blender solid cleanser.

The bar of soap does a great job of getting all of that makeup off!

Cheap Drugstore Dupes for High End Makeup

There are so many drug store products out there that are not only comparable but better than high end products. Today, I’d like to tell you guys about a few drug store products I’ve come across that I believe have duped the high end version.

First, I talk about 2 different primers that claim to erase pores. In this video, you’ll see the differences between Maybelline’s Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser and Benefit’s the POREfessional.

I also compare 2 different bronzers that I have found to be great! I’m comparing Benefit’s Hoola and NYC’s Smooth Skin bronzer. You’ll just have to watch and see which one I think is the best!

Last, I compare Dior’s Lip Glow, which is a very pricey lip product to ELF’s Gotta Glow Lip Tint. Could an ELF product compare to a Dior product?

I hope you enjoy learning about some products that could possibly save you a lot of money but could also really improve your makeup collection! Thanks for watching!
